You have an Android phone with an USB-C connector? And you need to connect your ORIGINAL timecode generator to your phone in order to use the Setup App for Android? Here is the setup for the cables you need.
Proceed as follows:
- Make sure your phone supports USB On-The-Go (OTG)or you may need to download an App to check (for example: USB OTG Checker)
- Your phone needs to have at least Android 5.0 (Lollipop) running
- The ORIGINAL has to be charged at least a bit
- Connect the ORIGINAL with two cables to the USB port of your Android phone
Note:
Both ends look the same. Be sure to connect the OTG end of the cables with your phone.
Recommended cables
- Setup Cable for Android (OTG) (included in the ORIGINAL set)
- Micro USB to USB-A Charging Cable (included in the ORIGINAL set)
Android with USB-C connector:
If you have an Android Phone that has a USB-C connector, you basically have to use the same setup described above, but instead of the provided OTG cable, you will have to get an OTG cable with USB-C instead of Micro USB.
