What happened?
You are using the Tentacle Sync Studio software and want to use the Multicam Mode - but all clips show up in only one video track?
Why?
Usually the software will create a Multicam sequence with just one click. It separates the different cameras based on metadata like model name and serial number. But if that information is not available, all footage will be compiled in just one video track.
How to…?
If that happens, you have to manually assign the footage of each camera to a different group, which is easy and only takes a few clicks:
- Upload the footage of the first camera into the file browser on the left
- Mark all files and right-click > Set Sync Group > Group 1
- Now you have created a new Sync Group, which shows as one video track V1 in the Sync Map
- Import all clips from next camera, mark all those clips and assign them to Group 2
- Then do the same with all the other additional cameras and audio sources
- Now your Multicam View is ready
