There are three ways to sync your PYXIS 6K camera with Tentacle SYNC E or ORIGINAL timecode generator, TIMEBAR timecode display & TRACK E audio recorder. For more information about Tentacle syncing workflow with the Setup App, click here.
Ref In/TC In (BNC)
- Set your Tentacle device and camera to the same frame rate
- Sync your Tentacle and set the Output Volume in the App to AUTO or LINE
- Connect your Tentacle to the Ref In/TC In of the camera
- The camera will automatically detect timecode
- Once synchronized successfully, the EXT icon appears next to the TC displayed

MIC Port (3.5 mm TRS)
- Set your Tentacle device and camera to the same frame rate
- Sync your Tentacle
- Set the camera Mic input to LINE or MIC, matching the Tentacle SYNC E output
- Automatically detects an external timecode signal
- Timecode is embedded as metadata into the file
- Blocks the port for other microphone inputs when a Tentacle SYNC E is connected
- Once synchronized successfully, the EXT icon appears next to the TC displayed

Mini-XLR connector
- Set your Tentacle device and camera to the same frame rate
- Sync your Tentacle
- Set the camera Mini XLR input to LINE or MIC, matching the Tentacle SYNC E output
- Automatically detects an external timecode signal
- Timecode is embedded as metadata into the file
- Once synchronized successfully, the EXT icon appears next to the TC displayed
- Connect the Tentacle to the Mini XLR input with a suitable third-party timecode adapter cable
Note: Internal timecode may drift over time. Keep the Tentacle SYNC E connected to one of the timecode inputs at all times.
