The RED V-RAPTOR XL can be synchronized with any Tentacle SYNC E or ORIGINAL timecode generator, TIMEBAR timecode display or TRACK E audio recorder. For more information about Tentacle syncing workflow with the Setup App, click here.
- Set the camera and the Tentacle device to the same frame rate
- Sync your Tentacle and set the Output Volume in the app to LINE or AUTO
- Set the camera menu:
- Menu > Audio/TC > Timecode Source > External
- Connect your Tentacle to the EXT port at the back of the camera body
- When the camera accepts the timecode, its display shows a green TC and E for external timecode source
