This Canon C50 camera can easily be synchronized with one of our timecode generators SYNC E and ORIGINAL, TRACK E audio recorders or TIMEBAR timecode displays. It has a dedicated timecode input on the side records file timecode as metadata. For more information about Tentacle syncing workflow with the Setup App, click here.
Proceed as follows:
- Set camera and Tentacle device to the same frame rate
- Sync your Tentacle and set the Output Volume in the app to LINE or AUTO
- Set the camera menu:
- System Setup > TC In/Out > In
- System Setup > Time Code Mode > Preset
- System Setup > Time Code Run > Free Run
- Connect your Tentacle to the TC input of the camera
- The Letter E (for External) will appear next to the timecode in your camera display
