You have two options to monitor the audio recordings of your TRACK E timecode audio recorder during and after the recording is made.
Audio Monitoring via headphones:
- Connect headphones to the 3.5 mm headphone output of your TRACK E
- Adjust the headphone volume in the Setup app if necessary
- Listen to the audio during recording
- Listen to the audio after recording > Setup app > device menu > Playback
This applies to the international version of the TRACK E.
All units shipped to an US address are a special US version. The headphone output of these units is deactivated during a recording. But you can listen to your recordings afterwards.
Audio Monitoring via Setup App:
- Open Setup App and Swipe one TRACK E to the left and click on the speaker-symbol on iOS
- Swipe the TRACK E to the right on Android to find the monitor button
- Long press allows you to set the Monitoring Mode:
- Earpiece Monitoring (Monitoring via smartphone earpiece is activated, as soon as the smartphone is held close to the ear)
- Loudspeaker Monitoring (Monitoring via smartphone speaker is activated by clicking on the speaker button)
The utilization of Bluetooth may result in a time delay during monitoring, which varies based on the device and is further amplified when Bluetooth headphones are employed.
Note:
Due to our 32bit float recording format and the very good limiter in the 24bit recording format, you can record stress-free even without monitoring all your recordings.
To make sure that no scratching or crackling sound of the clothing will occur, we recommend to secure your mic either outside of the clothing or to use quality products for concealed mic'ing.
