The ARRI Alexa Mini LF can easily synchronized with any Tentacle SYNC E or ORIGINAL timecode generator, TIMEBAR timecode display or a TRACK E audio recorder. For more information about Tentacle syncing workflow with the Setup App, click here.
Proceed as follows:
- Set your camera and Tentacle device to the same frame rate
- Set the camera's sensor frame rate to the same frame rate ((or double)
- Sync your Tentacle and set the Output Volume in the app to LINE or AUTO
- Set the TC connector of your ARRI Alexa Mini LF to IN
- Set camera menu:
- MENU > System > Sensor > Genlock Sync > TC IN
- Timecode Run Mode: HOME > TC > Options > Run Mode > Free Run
- Timecode Mode: HOME > TC > Options > Mode > Regen
- Regen Source: HOME > TC > Options > Regen Source > LTC In
- Timecode Count Mode: HOME > TC > Options > Count Mode > Non-Dropframe
- Connect the Tentacle device to the LEMO 5-pin TC input
- The timecode menu shows, if the external timecode source is disconnected
