The Panasonic Lumix DC-GH6 offers external timecode synchronization with a Tentacle SYNC E & ORIGINAL timecode generator or a TRACK E via its flash synchro socket. This way, the timecode will be embedded into the file during recording.
Proceed as follows:
- Set your camera and Tentacle device to the same frame rate
- Sync your Tentacle and set the Output Volume in the app to LINE or AUTO
- Connect the Tentacle to the flash synchro socket of the camera
- Set camera mode dial > Motion Picture
- Set camera menu:
- Time Code > Count Up > Free Run
- System Frequency > Rec Quality
- Time Code > External TC Setting > TC Synchronization > TC In
- Once the camera has accepted the TC, it indicates a reversed timecode symbol on the display
