The Zoom F3 unfortunately doesn't feature a dedicated timecode input. That's why we cannot recommend using it in combination with our Tentacles.
The Bluetooth protocol, which is used by the Zoom BT-1 adapter, cannot be used to directly communicate with the Tentacle Sync network. You would need third party devices to enter the network. If you have further questions about how the Bluetooth sync works for a F3, please contact Zoom for support.
Can the Zoom F3 be synchronized by Tentacle devices?
Answer:
As mentioned above the Zoom F3 features dedicated timecode input only via the Ultra Sync Blue and a compatible Bluetooth adapter. You can still use a third party device for jam-sycning with our Tentacles, or record Audio TC on one of the audio tracks. However, this will leave only one channel available for your actual sound recording.
Why?
The Bluetooth protocol, which is used by the Zoom BT-1 adapter, cannot be used to directly communicate with the Tentacle Sync network. You would need third party devices to enter the network. If you have further questions about how the Bluetooth sync works for a F3, please contact Zoom for support.
Solution:
Otherwise, we recommend using our Tentacle TRACK Es for a nice and easy Bluetooth sync workflow!
